Prehistoric Apron

 An apron with a large pocket  for  a Mom wearing jeans--all the collected rocks in it's roomy pockets are apt to weigh it down so it sits fashionable at the hips!  The apron is stitched down the center to create two pockets...in case there are two children gathering.  

It's Okay to take an old good idea

and make it new again.

In MaryJane's*Cookbook*Lifebook, there is a pattern for  Mary Jane's HARVEST APRON: An apron made to wear for the gathering of the harvest---apples, plums, or even the eggs. The fabric measurements for the apron are 17" X 36", the pocket is 14" X 24", and the total waistband and sashes are 4" x 37".

In a Carolina thrift shop, a cotton eyelet gathered dress,  hat and purse, all trimmed in cotton lace. 
From another time in this   sweet southern place.

The Find

When I pick from the thrift shop shelf, an old magazine all by itself...l963, 1974,  1989,  I am curious,  what will I find in it?  There must be a reason someone had kept it for so  long.
